Judy Mauer,
BSW
Creatively Organizing's founder, Judy comes well equipped with an
inspired vision as a professional organizing, life and business mentor.
She brings to her customers a culmination of her innate gifts & 30 years
of professional experience. “I have always
had an eye for the order and balance that was possible, or missing and
have been driven to facilitate its creation in myself and others.
Creatively Organizing is not my work, it is my bliss!"
She sees
your circumstances as an inspiring challenge, which she approaches with
skill and a contagious, positive attitude. She is not capable of
judging you or the conditions of your environments. Backed by solid experience and a history of success,
creating balance that supports positive outcomes is her natural gift in
both home and business environments. She offers simple tools and
insights that are easily integrated into daily life.
Innate gift for
organizing: "I have always had an organizing type personality.
I remember on my first job at age 15 in a fast passed "tex-mex"
restaurant, my manager regularly asked me to advise him when it was time
to rearrange shelving, equipment, storage areas; how to maximize space
in the dining room to fit the most people, while insuring room for staff
to move freely. At 16, I remember assisting one of my English
teachers, who was so disorganized that she never effectively planned a
lesson. Life in the classroom changed for her & us (I thought she
would give me an "A" for this work-I got the grade I deserved
instead!)."
Skill, Education & Background: Judy
holds a bachelor of Social Work degree. This generalist
counseling degree and both formal and informal education in business,
psychology, sociology, systems theory and communications equips Judy
with a skills set few organizers possess.
As a social services administrator, she specialized in
designing and overseeing systems of services and managed teams of up to
78 people, over several programs. Also, during this time she developed and taught parenting classes,
life skills classes and worked one-on-one with
parents and children in creating healthy family dynamics and
relationships. Her favorite program was the one she developed that
facilitated the relationships between non-custodial parents and their
children.
She also has 15 years experience in
the restaurant and hospitality industry, 8 of which she held managerial
roles. Beyond her experience in the workforce, she has owned and
operated three small businesses and founded a community based non-profit
where she developed her life and business mentoring
practice.
Systems Thinking:
is at the core of Judy's training through her BSW Degree program and how
she has approached her life and work as a professional since. Now
with Creatively Organizing she uses it effectively as a professional
organizer and life mentor.
Systems Thinking is a perspective
firmly based in an understanding of our essential interconnectedness &
interrelatedness to everything. We could use the term “system” for
any pattern of relationship: from an atom to a galaxy; from a cell to an
ecosystem; from an organ to a human being; from your desk to your bank
account.
The only way to fully
understand why anything occurs and persists, or how to create order and
stability is to
understand the parts in relation to the whole. Through this
understanding we are then able to realize catalytic options for change
that empower the whole (you) to operate, produce and express more freely and
efficiently.
